Pool, Naomi Clarice Ball

Naomi Clarice Ball Pool, 91, died Tuesday, July 29,2008, at her residence in Harker Heights, Texas.
Born October 6, 1916, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of the late Albert and Susie Ball, she was a member of the Dry Bayou Missionary Church in Portageville, and attended East Side Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas.

On September 12, 1934, she married Stephen Wayne Pool, who preceded her in death in 2000. She was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen Wayne Pool, Jr.; one sister, Alvine Hawks, and six brothers, Tommy Ball, Charlie Ball, W.L. Ball, Harold Ball, Calvin Ball, and Paul Ball.

Survivors include one daughter, Clarice Palmisano of Harker Heights, two sons, William Pool, and wife Sondra, of Benton, Ark., and John Pool, and wife Denise, of Peshastin, Wash.; two sisters, Edna Pease of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Jo Ann Mack, and husband Nat, of Navarre, Fla., three brothers, Dr. Eugene Ball of Centerton, Ark., Phillip Ball, and wife Lena, of Springdale, Ark., and Ralph Ball, and wife Diane, of Hayti, Mo.;10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Dry Bayou Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial was in the Dry Bayou Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo., was in charge of services.
